'The power of equality'

Together with a number of partners, Jaap Terhenne founded in 2014 the Dutch Research Institute NLOI B.V., because they felt that 'Equality of arms' was not really an issue in insurance investigations. NLOI was the first party to look at investigations from this perspective.

Indeed, like the other initiators, Jaap strongly believed in equality of arms for all parties involved in investigations, whether they are conducted in insurance cases, from governments or from customers and suppliers. This is the only way the best research results can be achieved. From the first moment the NLOI 'entered the market', the concept proved successful. Jaap's natural drive to want to achieve the best for his customers has led to appealing results from the NLOI.

In its hands, the NLOI has become a network organization in which experts in a variety of fields provide the input our clients need. The NLOI has thus become the obvious point of contact for entrepreneurs and individuals who experience damage.

Ten years after the start, in 2024, Jaap and the other shareholders sold all their shares to Cindy Veerman BCs and René de Feijter BBe, who together continue the NLOI's philosophy.

Jaap is currently still associated with NLOI as an advisor and ambassador.
